The last straw(berry)
It is actually my parents’ story but here goes... My parents had just been shopping and had bought some strawberries. I love 'em and asked my stepmum if I could have one. She said so, they were for after tea. I said “I only want one though” but still my stepmum said no. In true ‘child-style’ I then went and asked my dad who said that I could. The fight that ensued resulted in my stepmother moving out with her daughter into her flat for six months. She did eventually return but I never forgave myself even when they split up for good a few years later!
